To up the spice - particularly because we were trying to clear up a cold - we added some chopped jalapenos, a whole one to the spice mixture for the shrimp, and another half chopped jalapeno to the worcestershire, etc mixture, along with some sriracha sauce. Also cut down on the butter just a bit. They were quick and easy, and turned out very well.
